Chocolate Frito Candy


This is the best thing I have ever had in my life! It looks strange, but it tastes amazing! I was completely shocked by how this turned out! Your kids will think you are the best mom in the world if you make this for them. I made this for some friends and every one of them said that this was their favorite thing I have ever. I loved this so much that I made it 2 nights in a row and will be making it again tonight. Enough said!


  • 2 cups Fritos, smashed
  • 2 cups Glutino pretzels, smashed (Feel free to use regular pretzels if you are not gluten-free)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (omit if you have a peanut allergy)
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag chocolate chips
  • parchment paper

Directions: Use a 6-quart slow cooker. Put the butter, brown sugar, peanut butter, and chocolate chips in your slow cooker. Turn on high and cook for 1 hour, or until everything is really melty and you can mix it well. Mine only took 50 minutes both time I made it. While those ingredients are cooking in your slow cooker, put the fritos and pretzels in a large ziplock bag and smash until crumbly. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Once all the ingredients in the slow cooker are melted, stir in the pretzels and frito pieces into the slow cooker. Once all the ingredients are mixed together well, spoon in all the ingredients onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Spread it out with a wooden spoon or whatever you have at home. Put the sheet into the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until the candy has set completely.

Little Debbie’s Tip: I would store whatever you don’t eat in the refrigerator unless you want a big mess!
