Blueberry Spinach Smoothie

Wow this is good! I mean really really good. Jim bought me a blender over a year ago and it has been sitting on my counter collecting lots of dust. I look at it everyday and think about using it but I just never do. I am so very glad that I finally did. I will be making this smoothie everyday. I wanted to put spinach in it since I don’t like to eat spinach although I know how good it is for me. The blueberries completely take the spinach flavor away so you can not even tell there is spinach in it. I am just so in love with this smoothie! Feel free to swap out the blueberries for strawberries, blackberries or any other berry. Strawberries have a lot of sugar in them so I stay far away from them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 large banana (mine was frozen)
  • 1/4 cup Bolthouse carrot juice
  • Handful of fresh spinach

Directions: Throw all the ingredients in the blender with a few ice cubes and blend away!

Little Debbie’s Tip: You can find Bolthouse brand carrot juice in any grocery store. It is the best brand that I have found and it works perfectly with this smoothie.

  1. Never thought about adding spinach to my morning smoothie.. tried it this morning in the protien/blueberry/almond milk one I normally make. It was actually pretty good, thanks for the tip!
