This chicken has a taste that is so different. Different in a good way of course. It has an asian flare to it that makes it perfect to pair with white rice. I used the coconut white rice that I made the other night and it was fantastic. This was a complete experiment that I wasn’t too sure about. The minute I tried it I was completely sure! Jim inhaled his food which means it is definitely a winner! If you are sick and tired of the same old, same old then I highly recommend trying this.
- 1 1/2-2 pounds chicken tenderloin
- “little debbie’s special sauce”
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (1-inch) fresh piece of ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Little Debbie’s Special Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
Directions: Using a 4-quart slow cooker, put the chicken into the bottom of the crock pot. In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients for the special sauce. Add the special sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. Watch the chicken very carefully after 2 hours to make sure it’s not burning. My chicken was perfect at 3 hours on high.
Little Debbie’s Tip: Do not skip the fresh ginger. It gives the chicken a distinct taste that is delicious.
