Jim has been asking me for weeks on end to make pork chops for him. I always refuse because I thought I didn’t like pork chops, but I do now! You really can’t go wrong with maple syrup and this is just out of this world. Jim and I had to fight over the last pork chop, that’s how great these were. The best part about this recipe is that it is so simple to put together. These pork chops go perfectly with my cauliflower mashed potatoes which are a lot healthier and taste much better than regular old mashed potatoes. Enjoy!!
- 4 lean boneless pork chops
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- dash of dried thyme
Directions: Use a 4-quart slow cooker. Put the pork chops into the slow cooker. Pour the maple syrup, chicken broth, and vinegar over the top of them. Add the mustard, salt, and thyme. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Little Debbie’s Tip: I highly recommend using natural maple syrup instead of the $1.99 imitation maple syrup. I am all about making inexpensive meals, but some things are worth splurging on especially those things that you are putting into your body. I used a bottle that my father in-law gave me for Christmas last year from Vermont.
